How to Recycle, Reuse, and Repurpose Beautycounter Bottles and Jars

Beautycounter’s gorgeous and luxurious Countertime collection comes in these lovely pink glass containers. Unable to simply toss them in the recycle bin, I decided to explore ways in which I could repurpose them!

I just started on my third jar of supreme cream (they last me a little over 3 months of nightly use). I filled the first one with coconut oil to use as a makeup remover, and then found myself with an extra. Some have suggested that the elegant round jar is the perfect size for those versatile cotton rounds. Others have recommended filling them hair ties or using them as a soap dish.

I happened to have some beeswax pastilles on hand from my lotion-making days and found this easy to follow candle-making video.

After grabbing a few wicks for less than $4 at Michael’s, I was ready to go. The process took less than 30 minutes and the next day I had this sweet little citrus-scented (essential oils) candle to decorate my office space.

Next up: My recently emptied soft cream dispenser. Thinking hand sanitizer…
